velocity.

In the matter of my word of the year, a decision has been made.

VELOCITY (n.) the speed of something in a given direction.

Coming out of a slow personal number 2 year, of course, a word like velocity would be appealing to me. I do not intend to speed through 2018, I do however intend to use speed to manifest my intentions. Words like UPGRADE and CREATE were close runner-ups, but a quote from Werner Erhard sealed the deal for me.

“Your power is a function of velocity, that is to say, your power is a function of the rate at which you translate intention into reality. Most of us dis-empower ourselves by finding a way to slow, impede, or make more complex than necessary the process of translating intention into reality.”

I am the Queen, yes Queen of making things more complex than necessary. I must review, think about it, talk to friends, pray, think some more and then make a decision.  Change the decision. Then go back to the original decision. #LibraRising.

I will try something new, I will just go for it. #LeoSun. I’m going to play with physics a bit. I will let it get a little messy. I will challenge inertia, the resistance. And I will be the unbalanced force that Newton claimed was needed to change the speed of motion. This is a declaration.

Hello Two-Thousand Eighteen.

Let’s do this. Let’s translate intention into reality, with velocity.
